I looked the other day and noticed that it's been a really long time since I have written anything and I will try and keep some kind of running tab of life going... but in the meantime, one of the projects I have been working on, besides real work, has been a redesign of my galleries on the web.
Today I got reminded of an "add on" that exists for web browsers that creates a totally new web experience for viewing photographs, if the web site is "Pic Lens" enabled.
Google, for example, has all of their images in image search pic lens enabled and so does Flickr.
For those who want to see what this kind of viewing looks like, I've thrown up a sample gallery that does not require the "add on" to see what it will look like.
All you need to do is click on the link, then when the gallery loads click on the start slideshow button.
Note - this is a flash gallery and not recommended for dial-up.
If you want to learn more about the add on for either IE or Firefox, go to PicLens.
