Because I had to work on Friday he was able to pick up 3 or 4 more miles than me and I clocked in with 21 miles. We did 8 miles on Saturday, 7.5 on Sunday including a march up the mountain, and a morning quickie of 5.5 miles on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>I dropped him at the airport at 1:00 in the afternoon and then decided it was time for a afternoon at rest.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_115\" style=\"width: 644px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-115\" class=\"size-full wp-image-115\" title=\"embudo1\" src=\"http:\/\/nsrider.com\/oldBODblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/embudo1.jpg\" alt=\"Strawberry Cactus\" width=\"634\" height=\"834\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-115\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Strawberry Cactus<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The field guide says that the &#8220;desert landscape is punctuated with showy, rose-pink flowers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What I say is that the color is a bit off in the photo, it shows a tad too purple in this image.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2168\" src=\"http:\/\/nsrider.com\/oldBODblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/apachieplume.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nsrider.com\/oldBODblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/apachieplume.jpg 634w, https:\/\/nsrider.com\/oldBODblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/apachieplume-228x300.jpg 228w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This plant is one of the many that grace the spring trails in the Sandias and is more commonly known as Apache plume.
