I skipped it last year – but this year with company in the house.. it was time to trek off to the early morning events on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The morning was not really sunny, but occasionally a shot of light would light the\u00a0balloons\u00a0against the darker sky.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We were late getting out of the house but at the end of it all, it really didn’t matter, because we did get to see most of the baloons launch.<\/p>\n

Then it was off to Santa Fe for a drive up to the top of the mountain and the aspen trail hike.<\/p>\n

To show just how far behind I am, I did this very hike a year ago and still have not posted any of the images.<\/p>\n

We stopped along the way to give me time to climb up the embankments and take some photos.<\/p>\n

This one is about 2 or 3 miles before the aspen grove trailhead.<\/p>\n
