The Pink Pixel - Part 1

Pink pixels of color can be good things.

In fact, in the right place, frequently they belong right there in the photo.

However, last weekend when I was working away on my photos of the moon it bacame very apparent that my brand new digital camera had developed a problem.

Right there in the middle of that nice black sky was a spot of pink, and that could only mean one thing, that one of the pixels in the camera had failed.
