I never get tired of looking at the New Mexico Sky.

The full sized image is here.  After it loads you can click on it again for the full sized image.  Span is about 100 miles of sky from north to south.

Taken while crashing through the crusted snow in my new snow shoes at 3:30 or so in the afternoon on Sunday.

The story is here.

Photos of the day, Dec 28, 2011

I headed out to the top of the mountain today to try out my Christmas present – snow shoes.

At the tram boarding I shot this photo which missed the top speed that I saw, 55mph.

I looked up the wind-chill for those figures and it was 4 degrees F.

I slogged through the snow for a bit and returned after about an hour of hiking.

I did get a nice panorama.
