Photos of the day – Saturday 3.19.2011

Bunches in this group – and they will look great for this series – and since there are so many – I’m going to post only a couple a day.

The location is from The Flower Fields – and there are flowers everywhere this time of year, including the parking lot where the above set was taken.

Photos of the day – 3.12.2011

Actually, the photos really make up a “report” on the conditions that I ran into while hiking on Saturday.

There were no flowers, no real high drama, and other than the fact that one had to be continually cautious for the last several miles, it was a great day for a hike.

The full story is here.

Photos of the day – Saturday 2.26.11

Start with a self portrait taken at the golden hour

And then check out how the pilots always have the best sunset rides…

Then add the panorama for full effect.

In just a couple of weeks it we cross over to daylight savings time – can’t wait.

Full sized panorama here.  After it loads – click on the image to make full sized.  See if you can find another airplane in the image.  The towers on the horizon are 16 miles away – crow or airplane distance.

Don’t Panic 2.21.2011

I love this sign – It always makes me smile when I see it, first because I am there to see it and second because I get it.  I remember looking at slopes like these and wondering what was I ever thinking, getting on skis in the firstplace.

taos1But – I do know my limits – and when I saw this second sign I just pulled out my camera and watched as about 10 or 11 skiers began their trek to the danger zone.

Full Taos Ski entry is here – includes several panoramas.
